Venezuelan pensioners faced off with riot police blocking their march through Caracas on Friday, May 12, in the latest crackdown on six weeks of protests against President Nicolas Maduro’s government.

Scuffles broke out as protesters jostled against the police line. According to reports and eyewitness video, officers used pepper spray to try and control the crowd.
