Demonstrators took to the streets of Caracas on Thursday, May 11, to pay tribute to Miguel Castillo, who was killed on Wednesday during a protest. Castillo was the 38th person killed in the wave of protests that has rocked the country since April 1.
In this video, demonstrators pray with their hands raised in the air at the spot where Castillo was shot dead on the day before, in La Mercedes neighborhood, in Caracas. Hours earlier, his friends and family gathered at Colegio San Ignacio de Loyola, the school where he studied, and marched to Las Mercedes. Castillo was 27-years-old and a social communications graduate, according to reports.
