Ottawa River Crests During Historic Flooding

The Ottawa River crested on Monday, May 8, after days of rising water that has flooded parts of Ottawa and Gatineau. Hundreds of homes on both sides of the river were evacuated because of the flooding.

Canadian soldiers have been dispatched to areas along the Ottawa River and in the Montreal area to help those affected by the historic flooding.
