Former CIA and Defense Department Chief of Staff, Jeremy Bash, says that former Trump National Security Adviser Mike Flynn told Russian ambassador Sergei Kislyak that Russia need not "worry" about the newly imposed sanctions by the Obama administration which included the ouster of some 40 Russian operatives from the United States. The news is consistent with the actions of the Russian government which for the first time since World War II did not retaliate to what was an aggressive action by the U.S. It is widely speculated that it was because of assurances from the Trump team.
