Heather Griffith is an Alabama resident who shared a May 4 video of her son, Keith Griffith, crying out of joy after opening a letter from a college certificate program and reading he had been accepted.
Griffith, who has Down syndrome, was accepted into Passage USA, a program at the University of South Alabama for people with mental disabilities that aids them in getting employment and building independent living skills, according to this local report.
