Washington DOT Uses Explosives to Blast 20 Million-Pound Rock Slab

The Washington State Department of Transportation used explosives to blast a 20 million-pound rock slab above State Route 303, east of Woodland, on April 13. The department shared the video on May 5.

This explosion was the first in a series of blasts to remove the slab, which is continuing to move, making it dangerous for highway drivers below.
