President Donald Trump on Monday said he is considering breaking up big Wall Street banks, by splitting their consumer business from their investment operations.
In an interview Monday with Bloomberg News, Trump said he is "looking at that right now."

On the campaign trail, President Trump called for a revised version of the Glass-Steagall Act and the Republican Party's platform included a provision to restore Glass-Steagall protections.
Major averages slipped as the news broke, then rebounded, while government bond yields hit their highs of the day.
