At least 24 people died in a landslide that hit the village of Zerger, in the Uzgen district, in Kyrgyzstan on April 29, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said. Over 1 million cubic meters of mud buried seven buildings on Saturday morning.

The country announced a national mourn on Sunday, April 30. At least 4,000 families live in areas subjected to landslides in Kyrgyzstan, according to reports.
