Sandwich Store Worker Isn't Angry at Armed Robber, He's Just Disappointed

A Kansas City outlet of sandwich store Jimmy John’s fell victim to an armed robber on April 26. CCTV footage of the incident not only shows the robbery, but also the cool reaction of the store cashier while a gun was pointed at his face.

The unnamed employee is seen welcoming the eventual thief and taking his order before the unidentified robber takes out a gun and points it directly at him. The cashier coolly takes off a glove, hands the man the cash from the register, even offering him some stray cash from the till tray.

With the armed thief escaping the scene, the Jimmy John’s employee calmly walks away before either he or a coworker nails a throw of another glove into the trash to round off the nonchalant air to the incident. The footage has gone viral, thanks largely to a Reddit post titled ‘I dare you to be as chill as this dude with a gun to your head.’

At the time of writing, Kansas City Police Department are asking for assistance in identifying the suspect in the surveillance video, with members of the public told to contact their TIPS Hotline at (001) 816-474-TIPS (8477).
