Billed as a game for the ages between top Junior Jahlil Okafor and #1 Whitney Young (18-2) vs top Senior (Duke Commit) Jabari Parker and 3-time defending state-champ #2 Simeon (18-2), fans at home and in the stands at Chicago State got their money's worth.
In the end, both Okafor (8pts) and Parker (7pts) finished in single-digits while Simeon's Illinois University-bound backcourt (Kendrick Nunn and Jaylon Tate) led the way to a 44-41 win.
The game's leading scorer was Young's 6'4 junior LJ Peak, (20pts) a transfer from South Carolina. He scored 14 in the 3rd quarter to tie the game after 3.
