I really enjoy a fruit shake before I go work out. I have not tried putting vegetables in it, but I will try that now. I usually got to Costco to buy frozen fruit, which is probably not as healthy, but it is cheaper. For my shake, I put in frozen strawberries, blueberries, a fresh banana, and some orange juice. It tastes great and tides me over until I finish my workout and I can eat dinner. As someone else mentioned, it is a good idea to add a hard boiled egg to your breakfast. This will give you the protein that you need to keep going until lunch.
