Jalen Suggs has asserted himself as one of the top 8th graders in the Midwest, if not the country. The Team Sizzle (Minnesota) shooting guard dominated the GNBA, playing in the premier Midwestern 14U league (28 teams).
Averaging over 21 points per game over 2 May sessions, 6’3 14-year-old Suggs was second in scoring, second in rebounding,
first in assists, second in steals and shot nearly 60% from the floor.
Suggs does most of his scoring finishing at the rim. While he shares the ball well with his Team Sizzle teammates, Suggs plays at a higher level than most 14U AAU players. This shouldn’t come as a surprise as Suggs also plays with Team Sizzle’s 17U team and is one of their top scorers (as an 8th grader). Suggs will most certainly be one to watch in the coming years.
