Afghanistan's defence minister resigns over attack, as Mattis flies in

US defence secretary James Mattis has made a surprise visit to Afghanistan, amid reports that Russia has been providing weapons to the Taliban.
His visit comes as two high-ranking officials were forced to resign following a deadly Taliban attack.
