Amusing footage has emerged of police chasing an 'exotic rodent' around a parking lot in Las Vegas.
The video, captured on April 20, shows a Patagonian Mara - commonly found in Argentina - running around with police and members of the public in pursuit.
According to the filmer, the animal was kicked out of a car, which quickly drove off.
There was also confusion as to what the animal was.
"Most people thought it was a baby kangaroo but then we were told it was a Patagonian Mara, an exotic South American rodent," he wrote online.
The animal was successfully rescued and officials are now looking to find a sanctuary for it.
