Just because everyone loves Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, don’t believe that everything’s as perfect as what she prepares with her cookbooks.
In fact, John Legend praises his wife’s bravery after she spoke up to Glamour magazine about coping with postpartum depression.
John reportedly made a statement to Time magazine, saying “My wife just wrote very candidly about what she went through with postpartum depression and dealing with the aftermath of having a child. We’re very happy in our relationship and very happy to be parents, but, like everybody, we’re human and we have challenges.”
Chrissy tells Glamour that it took her months to be diagnosed. She tells the magazine, “I started taking an antidepressant, which helped. And I started sharing the news with friends and family – I felt like everyone deserved an explanation, and I didn’t know how else to say it other than the only way I know: just saying it.”
Chrissy and John just celebrated their daughter Luna’s first birthday, and couldn’t appear happier. But as John tells Time magazine, “No one should think that our lives are perfect.”
Yup, they’re definitely not perfect, but this family will always be Legends.
