September Hannah COCKROFT (GBR) also started as the favourite for the
T34 women's 200m for cerebral palsy athletes in a wheelchair and the
20-year-old, sporting red, white and blue braids in her hair, didn't
disappoint as she sped to a Paralympic record of 31.90. COCKCROFT was
eight metres clear coming off the bend and finished more than two
seconds clear of her nearest rival, Amy SIEMONS (NED), who won the
silver in 34.16. "I'm well excited. I get to meet all the Olympians.
We've been locked in the Paralympic village for the last two weeks so
it's getting a bit boring. It will be nice to celebrate with my team
and with the Olympic team as well." - Hannah COCKROFT (GBR) said For
