Aw, we remember when Taylor Swift and Harry Styles had that date in New York City’s Central Park like it was yesterday…
Harry remembers too. He opened up about it to Rolling Stone magazine, and gave a little more perspective about what it’s like to be a couple of insanely famous kids attempting to date with the whole world watching you.
Harry tells the magazine, “When I see photos from that day, I think; Relationships are hard, at any age. And adding in that you don’t really understand exactly how it works when you’re 18, trying to navigate all that stuff didn’t make it easier.”
Mostly though, Harry says it was a “learning experience,” but he “just wanted it to be a normal date” with someone he “really liked.”
Harry is also aware that although their relationship was brief, Taylor probably wrote songs about it on her 1989 album. He tells Rolling Stone, “I mean, I don’t know if they’re about me or not… But the issue is, she’s so good, they’re bloody everywhere.”
And that’s what Harry pretty much has to say about his time with Taylor. The whole relationship wasn’t a walk in the park, but overall, it was a time he was fond of.
