Obama's White House public visitor log Trumped by new policy

Trump announced Friday that the White House will no longer disclose its visitor's list due to security risks and privacy concerns. The new policy states that The White House gets to decide if visitor names will be disclosed for meetings with the president, vice-president, or senior staff. This decision came after watchdog groups sued Trump's administration in federal court for refusing to make the visitor logs public. Obama created the policy in 2009 after a series of lawsuits, but there were still some exceptions, like child visitor names for his daughter's sleepovers. The White House claims that the new policy will save taxpayers $70,000 by 2020.
