Turks voted on a series of constitutional changes to give President Recep Tayyip Erdogan broad new powers. Opposition parties – including the Republican People’s Party, or CHP, and the Peoples Democratic Party, or HDP -- urged the public to vote “no.” Erdogan’s party, the Justice and Development Party, or AKP, campaigned for a “yes” vote.
