This documentary film is a tribute to goddess Durga. This film was shot in Chittaranjan, Burdwan (West Bengal), India in 2015 during Durga Puja festival. Durga, also known as Devi, Shakti and by numerous other names, is a principal and popular form of Hindu goddess. She is the warrior goddess, whose mythology centres around combating evils and demonic forces that threaten peace, prosperity and dharma of the good. Durga Puja, also called Durgotsava and Navaratri, is an annual Hindu festival in the Indian subcontinent. It is observed in the Hindu calendar month of Ashvin, typically September or October of the Gregorian calendar.Durga Puja festival marks the battle of goddess Durga with the shape-shifting, deceptive and powerful buffalo demon Mahishasura, and her emerging victorious. Thus, the festival epitomises the victory of Good over Evil, but it also is in part a harvest festival that marks goddess as the motherly power behind all of life and creation.
