Got gray hair? You might have heart disease too

Gray hair has been linked to heart disease, a recent study presented at the European Society of Cardiology's annual congress shows. The study observed 545 adult men, who were divided into groups by if they have heart disease and how much gray hair they have. The research showed that men with damaged arteries had more gray hair. “Atherosclerosis and hair graying occur through similar biological pathways and the incidence of both increases with age. Our findings suggest that, irrespective of chronological age, hair graying indicates biological age and could be a warning sign of increased cardiovascular risk." While it wasn't proven that gray hair is a direct cause of heart disease, doctors recommend regular heart check-ups anyway.
