Comedian Charlie Murphy passed away Wednesday morning at age 57, following a battle with leukemia. Murphy’s manager confirmed that the comedian passed away in a New York City hospital and had been undergoing chemotherapy. Murphy was born on July 12, 1959, in Brooklyn. Charlie co-wrote and starred in the comedy movies ‘Vampire in Brooklyn’ and ‘Norbit’ alongside his younger brother, Eddie Murphy. The comic was also known for his appearances in the television series ‘Chappelle’s Show,’ ‘Are We There Yet,’ and ‘The Boondocks.’
