'Mahatma Gandhi Awake India March' was organised by the students of Pondicherry University, India on 2nd October 2013. (2nd October is celebrated as birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi as well as Lal Bahadur Shastri in India). Students of various departments participated in this march enthusiastically. Before starting the march many students expressed their views regarding how to build a better India. Dipak Kumar Singh, Research Scholar, School of Education also addressed the gathering and expressed his own views.
