The owners of the vessel anchored the boat in the gorge off Bamfield park. By the time the Victoria fire department’s fire boat arrived, the cabin cruiser was engulfed in flames, according to local news reports.
Two people onboard the boat escaped, but one was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
