A Ukrainian film has received a prestigious award at the London Film Festival.
“The Tribe” is a story of love, crime and brutality in a school for young, deaf people. The compelling film contains no spoken dialogue or soundtrack music and is completely acted out in sign language.
The masterpiece, set in a Ukrainian state boarding school in Kyiv, is about the journey of one new student into the world of violent gangs and the criminal underworld.
