At the launch of GARV-II mobile app on the rural electrification scheme, Shri Piyush Goyal directs swift electrification of remote 1200 villages via off-grid solutions. All households in these villages will be provided with an off-grid kit comprising of 300 W solar panel, lithium-ion battery, 5 LED bulbs, 1 energy efficient fan, mobile charging socket. He also made the commitment of providing a TV set to all off grid households.
