Despite repeated advice from authorities and rescue workers to not drive through flood waters, many try anyway. This moment shows precisely why these warnings exist.
A ute was filmed in Keperra, Queensland, on March 30 trying to drive through a flooded road. The recorder, Jai Deverell, watched the failed attempt and the vehicle stalling in the water.
“You idiot! You f***ing idiot,” Deverell is heard saying.
Deverell told Storyful the driver managed to restart the car, but it sounded as though the ute took in water through its air filter.
