Ford is expected to say it will invest in three Michigan manufacturing plants. President Trump first broke the news on Twitter. The company is expected to make an announcement later on Tuesday morning.
In January, Ford abandoned its plans to build a $1.6 billion car factory in Mexico, and added 700 jobs in Michigan instead. The automaker plans to invest $9 billion in U.S. facilities through 2019, resulting in 8,500 new or retained jobs.
