House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes has reportedly apologized to members he bypassed when delivering recently discovered information directly to the White House and the general public.
According to committee member Jackie Speier, Nunes said he was sorry on Thursday morning and promised to share what he’d learned but did not indicate when that would happen, reports CNN.
The situation began to unfold on Wednesday afternoon.
In a press conference, Nunes said that some conversations involving Donald Trump and his transition team may have been gathered as part of a legal surveillance endeavor, notes the Washington Post.
He did not reveal the source of the information.
