Nearly six months after the tragic speeding boat accident that killed MLB star Jose Fernandez and two others,
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission concluded in its investigation that the former Marlins pitcher was the "probable" operator of the speeding boat. “Fernandez operated (the boat) with his normal faculties impaired, in a reckless manner, at an extremely high rate, in the darkness of night, in an area with known navigational hazards such as rock jetties and channel markers,” The investigators wrote in the report. The report also listed drugs and alcohol as factors at the time of the Sept. 25 crash.
