Major Twitter accounts were hijacked by Turkish hackers Wednesday morning. Over a hundred accounts such as Amnesty International, Nike Spain, and Duke University were hacked. The tweets were in Turkish, featuring a swasitka, The posts reference the date April 16th, which is when Turkey will hold a referendum to give President Tayyip Erdoğan more power. It is unclear whether the hackers were associated with state officials or were Erdoğan supporters. Twitter was aware of the issue and took down the tweets while finding the source of the hacks.
