The catalytic converter is usually an oval shaped metal shell, inside it is an element
made of a ceramic honeycomb core,in the core there are 3 precious metals which are platinum, pallidium and
rhodium. The job of the catalytic converter is to simply control and reduce emissions, it does this by catalyzing a
radox reaction. This can only occur when the percious metals are present. Platinum is the most reactive metal so is the preffered material.
