Brie Larson consciously did not applaud Casey Affleck when he won best actor at the Academy Awards. Larson presented Affleck with the award for his role in 'Manchester By the Sea,' but as an advocate for sexual assault survivors, she refused to applaud a man whose accusations of sexual assault resurfaced. “I think that whatever it was that I did on stage kind of spoke for itself,” Larson told Vanity Fair at the premiere of Kong: Skull Island on Wednesday. “I’ve said all that I need to say about that topic.”
