The Nokia Lumia 630 is a progressive handset for those who are looking forward to buy an entry level Windows Phone. With the Lumia 630, Nokia directly targets the mega popular Motorola Moto G, which is selling like hot cakes in India.Nokia-made phones have always been loved for their simplicity. The Lumia 630, for instance, is no exception. The handset is lightweight in nature and made out of plastic. It feels comfortable in hand and is not slippery at all. The device continues to promote Nokia's signature styling, which we genuinely loved. And being made available in candylicious colors and a low price tag is what matters to most Indian buyers. Since the Nokia Lumia 630 is expected to be priced on a lower side, the phone does not come with a dedicated camera key.The display is fairly large at 4.5-inches. The IPS LCD panel comes with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. The screen is also covered by the by the Gorilla Glass 3. In terms of design features, the Nokia Lumia 630 is the first device to have on-screen navigation buttons.The Lumia 630 features a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. After spending hands on time with the device, the Lumia 630 may look underpowered (512MB of RAM) -but still beats the pants off the competition. And at this point of time, it is tough to comment upon its hardware performance. There is a 8GB of internal storage which can be expandable via a microSD card slot.The phone is powered by Windows Phone 8.1 mobile OS. Again, the WP8.1 is not about drastic user interface, rather there are more features added like Action Center, and fast typing experience. Being a Nokia-made phone, it obviously comes with Nokia Camera apps, Here Maps and Nokia Drive, to name a few.Other highlighted features include an 1830mAh battery, which gives at least 12 hours of talk time. The Indian version of Lumia 630 supports dual-SIM (3G+ 2G).
Looks like Nokia has not given much emphasis on enhancing the camera capabilities in its entry level handsets. While the stock Windows Phone Camera UI is simple and easy to get along; however, the phone's 5MP sensor makes no difference at all. And on top of it, the Lumia 630 does not feature an LED Flash.
