Sears Holdings recently recalled a Craftsman table saw model because of its hazard risks. The foldable stand that comes with the model was reported to “collapse unexpectedly,” which could cause lacerations to the user. Sears has received 11 reports, some involving injuries to customers’ fingers, broken bones, and a shoulder strain. The saw’s manufacturers, Rexon Industrial Corp., released a statement Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled table saws and contact Rexon for a free replacement stand Now, Sears is selling the brand for almost $900 million after owning it for decades.
