A severe injury to the hand while fielding at cover has cast doubts on Zalmi all-rounder Shahid Afridi’s inclusion in the team for the Pakistan Super League Final against Quetta Gladiators on March 5.
Afridi injured his right hand on Friday while attempting to catch a drive from Kieron Pollard off Hassan Ali at covers at a catchable height.
According to sources, Afridi was immediately rushed for the first aid and received 12 stitches to his right hand.
There was no immediate official comment, but sources confirmed that after the injury, Afridi is unlikely for the final of PSL against Quetta Gladiators in Lahore on Sunday.
