A video has emerged from the United States of a man rescuing a raccoon which was trapped in a dumpster.
In the clip, which was captured last month, the filmer notices the poor raccoon trying in vain to climb the sheer metal sides of the refuse container.
He fetches a wooden plank and positions it in the dumpster.
The raccoon quickly seizes the opportunity and climbs out to safety.
