Trump Attributes Oscars Best Picture Error To Too Much Focus On Politics

On Monday, President Trump blamed the Oscars’ Best Picture gaffe on the ceremony’s decidedly political bent.

Sunday’s Academy Awards certainly closed on a surprising note, announcing that an error had been made in declaring ‘La La Land’ the ‘Best Picture’ winner, as ‘Moonlight’ was the actual victor, notes CNN.
On Monday, President Trump blamed the mishap on the ceremony’s decidedly political bent.
In an interview with Breitbart News, Trump said, “I think they were focused so hard on politics that they didn’t get the act together at the end. It was a little sad. It took away from the glamour of the Oscars. It didn’t feel like a very glamorous evening. I’ve been to the Oscars. There was something very special missing, and then to end that way was sad.”
Notably, PricewaterhouseCoopers, the firm that counts the Oscar ballots and delivers the results in sealed envelopes, has assumed responsibility for the gaffe, reports the Wall Street Journal.
