Two brothers were traveling by car when they hit a truck parked on a highway. One of them is seriously injured and had to be sent by ambulance to Sklif’s emergency room. Now his life hangs in the balance as doctors hurry to ascertain the extent of his injuries and begin treatment.
Meanwhile, a construction worker has been hit by a 300 kg container. He had moved to Moscow to provide for his family, attracted by the higher wages on offer. However, the company he worked for didn’t hire him officially and neglected health and safety practices. Now his employer has abandoned him and it will be very difficult to prove he received his injuries at work. If he is left disabled, his family will have lost their breadwinner. His health and the wellbeing of his family are in the hands of Sklif’s doctors.
