BIG MAJOR CAY, BAHAMAS — A colony of pigs famous for their fondness for swimming has shrunk drastically over the past week, after several were found dead for causes unknown.

“Pig Beach” as its called, has become a hotspot for tourists in recent years, who want to hang out with the swimming swine. The pigs were featured on an episode of The Bachelor last year, and regularly show up in the instagram feeds of celebrities like Amy Schumer and Bella Thorne. The pigs have also been known to attract the attention of drunken fools trying to have a laugh at their expense. People have reportedly been spotted riding them, and feeding them alcohol.

This past week, reports out of the Bahamas indicate more than a half dozen of them were found floating in the sea, lifeless. The Bahamas Humane society believes the pigs may have been poisoned somehow, possibly by something they ate. Samples of the water they swim in have been collected to try to decipher the reason behind their mysterious deaths.

In the meantime, the dead pigs have been given a fitting burial at sea.
