Make these delicious chocolate sticks using Kinder surprise eggs and popping candy rocks for a real exploding surprise on your tongue!\r
\r
This chocolate recipe makes approximately 25 sticks (depending on straw thickness), they make a fantastic treats for kids who love sweets with pop rocks!\r
\r
You will need:\r
4 Kinder eggs (80 grams)\r
1 packet of popping candy (5 grams)\r
25 bendy straws\r
\r
First melt the Kinder chocolate in a bowl over some simmering water, make sure the bowl does not touch the water while melting the chocolate eggs.\r
\r
Once the chocolate is melted remove it from the pan and set aside, open the popping candy and pour into the bowl with the chocolate. While you are stirring and mixing you will hear many pops and crackles!\r
\r
Next, pick up a straw and bend at the neck, this makes it easier to handle and then suck the popping candy Kinder chocolate mix up through the straw to just below the bend.\r
\r
Seal the open with a finger so when you lift the straw it doesnt allow the melted chocolate to run out. Lay the straw flat and continue filling the rest of the straws.\r
\r
Once they are all filled, refridgerate for 2+ hours to set the chocolate. Next, get a dish of luke warm water and lay the cold straw in the water for a few seconds, this loosens the chocolate inside and makes the next stage easier.\r
\r
Finally, using something hard like a scissor handle or a knife handle or the back of a spoon hold onto the open end of the straw and press down while pushing the chocolate stick out.\r
\r
Some will break, some will stay whole. Once they are all out place back in the fridge for at least an hour and youre all done!\r
