A research team in Barcelona is closer to finding an HIV vaccine for HIV-positive patients. The study uses two HIV vaccines with a cancer drug named romidepsin to "flush" the virus from tissues. 5 out of 24 HIV-positive participants saw a complete halt of the virus' production in their blood. The vaccine could replace the market's expensive drugs that have long-term side effects.
