Seth Rogen has been sending messages to Donald Trump Jr., President Trump’s son, criticizing his father’s administration.
On February 16, the actor tweeted, “Yo! @DonaldJTrumpJr! I noticed you follow me on Twitter. Please ask your dad to resign before he destroys the planet. Thanks dude.”
Some social media users voiced their support including one person who wrote, “Agreed & and you & your brother stop going to Africa & killing live elephants & lions. They're not trophies.”
Meanwhile, another said, “the only issue with this is donald trump is the only thing standing between us and mike pence.”
Rogen also had outright critics, such as one user who told him, “...Please keep your agenda to yourself until you know how to live an average life.”
And another person said, “That's absolutely uncharitable. Trump has been elected by whole America by a process, give him some time.”
But the comments did not seem to dissuade Rogen who posted a screenshot of a direct message he sent to President Trump's son, stating, “Hey man! It’s Seth. Your father is trying to discredit our media, collude with Russia, and destroy the environment. It would be super cool of you to be like ‘yo, dad, why don’t you stop all this and go back to being just a guy on TV.’ The majority of the world would be pretty psyched. Thanks!!!”
He then posted another screenshot showing a follow-up message which read, “Also, please tell your dad that this guy Jason Chaffetz, you know the dude with the awesome Twitter handle @jasoninthehouse should probably investigate Flynn’s connection to Russia because he got fired over it. Thanks man! Have a good one.”
Rogen reiterated similar concerns in a third direct message to Donald Trump Jr.
According to CNET, the actor is a dual citizen of the U.S. and Canada.
