Michael T. Flynn, President Trump's national security adviser, resigned on Monday night after only 25 days on the job. Flynn misled Vice President Pence and senior White House officials about his conversations with the Russian ambassador. Flynn reportedly "incomplete information" about his phone call regarding American sanctions against Russia, the New York Times reported. Flynn previously told Pence that he only held one conversation with Russia's Ambassador Sergey I. Kislyak, which turned out to be false. “Unfortunately, because of the fast pace of events, I inadvertently briefed the vice president-elect and others with incomplete information regarding my phone calls with the Russian ambassador,” Flynn wrote in his resignation letter.
