The Senate confirmed Monday ex-Goldman Sachs executive Steve Mnunchin for treasury secretary. The vote was 53-47, mostly along party lines, with Sen. Joe Manchin the lone Democrat voting yes. Mnuchin's confirmation marks the start of a third straight week of a slow-moving, highly partisan process to fill Trump's cabinet. The Mnuchin fight has lacked some of the last-minute theatrics that marked confirmation battles last week -- including a string of protests against Education Secretary Betsy DeVos and Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
