On Monday, Ivanka Trump tweeted a photo showing her sitting behind the desk in the Oval Office flanked by her father and Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who was in Washington, D.C. on an official visit.
With it was the message, “A great discussion with two world leaders about the importance of women having a seat at the table!”
Responses to the image have been mixed.
Tweets from those not thrilled include, “lord, how many ‘bring your daughter to work’ days is this administration going to have?” and, “You have no business in the White House. Our country is not run on nepotism. This is not Iraq.”
There are also a number of comments in support of the first daughter.
Among them are, “@IvankaTrump U R an amazing example of grace, beauty & brains under pressure! ThankU 4 all that U R doing!” and, “Obama had his mother-in-law living in the White House with them. Funny no one ever talk about that.”
