Footage has emerged from Bucharest, Romania, of thousands of people in a protest to demand the resignation of the Government's cabinet after politicians tried to decriminalise the theft of public funds.

The video, captured on Saturday, shows a massive crowd standing in front of the Parliament on Victory Square on the 13th consecutive day of demonstrations.

According to reports, the left-wing government earlier scrapped the decree, which would have shielded many politicians from prosecution for corruption.

However protesters remain dissatisfied about a revised version of the bill which will now be put to parliament.
