A cruise ship en route from Melbourne to New Zealand lost power and became stranded with more than 3,000 passengers on board, around 30 kilometres from Victoria’s east coast.
The ABC reported The Norwegian Star lost power on Friday, February 10. Two tugboats were sent to retrieve the vessel and tow it back to Port Melbourne.
While the Herald Sun reported passengers were advised the process could take three to five days, the ship made its way back to Melbourne late Saturday evening.
