Ever have those moments where you leave home wondering if the stove was turned off? The Inirv React promises to make your dumb stove smart. The kit consists of a ceiling-mounted smoke and natural gas detector, stove knobs and an app that allows users to control their stove remotely. The detector is wirelessly connected to the knobs, and will automatically turn the stove off if it detects smoke or gas. It can also sense if no one is in the room, and will shut the stove off at after a preset length of time. The company claims that the smart knobs will work with most gas and electric stoves. Inirv React is up on Kickstarter, and has already raised $20,000 of a $40,000 goal. Let’s just hope this thing isn’t easily hackable.
