Protestors climbed a 270-foot high crane in Washington D.C. to protest executive orders signed by President Donald Trump that opened the way for construction on the Keystone XL and Dakota Access oil pipelines. Construction was previously stalled during the Obama administration over concerns for the environment. Seven Greenpeace activists hung a 35-foot-by-75-foot banner from the crane that read “resist.” The event went viral as protestors tweeted and filmed a Facebook Live video from the crane.
